The Coffee Cosmos:
Each painting (coffee table) is the result of an actionist’s gesture of throwing down espresso and sugar upon a circular piece of wood 62cm in diameter. While this medium is reacting to its host’ surface, I slap down a circular piece of glass of the same dimension capturing the gesture and encasing the medium. Not to freeze it into a make believe window of static aestheticism but to offer a portal into the performative phenomenon of the biological proceedings inherent in the decomposition of the mediums that will continue to change during the life of the artwork.
